The new movie will star Mahershala Ali as the titular hero, who won two Oscars for his Moonlight and Green Book roles. Blade will be part of Phase Six of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), exploring new characters and stories after the epic conclusion of Phase Five with Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.

Fantastic Four (May 2, 2025)

The second Marvel movie of 2025 is Fantastic Four, a reboot of the iconic superhero team that has been adapted several times before but has yet to be quite successful. Fantastic Four is about four scientists gaining superpowers after exposure to cosmic radiation during a space mission. They become Mr. Fantastic, who can stretch his body; Invisible Woman, who can turn invisible and create force fields; Human Torch, who can fly and manipulate fire; and The Thing, who has super strength and durability but a rocky appearance. The new movie will be directed by Matt Shakman, who directed several episodes of WandaVision and written by Jeff Kaplan & Ian Springer and Josh Friedman, who worked on Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous and Avatar 2, respectively. Fantastic Four will also be part of Phase Six of the MCU and introduce one of the most beloved and influential families in Marvel history.
